08.07.2021

The HYGEIA Consortium held its online project meetings on the 14th and 17th of June in two sessions. The representatives from each partner organization attended the meeting online via Teams as COVID-19 pandemic still poses risk for travelling. In the first meeting session, partners shared the updates about the project’s intellectual outputs and made brief presentations about their progress. The technical partners -miThings, Tech4Care and Innatolia- informed the consortium regarding their findings from the literature and serious game reviews that underline the potential of gamification approaches in healthcare training. Meanwhile, the knowledge partners -Universita Politecnica Delle Marche (UNIVPM) and Fundacion para la Formacion e Investigacion Sanitarias de la Region de Murcia (FFIS)- initiated creating a manual for personal and environmental hygiene that will be a robust resource for healthcare professionals regarding their hygiene training. A needs analysis, an intellectual output, is also being prepared by Linköping University in collaboration with UNIVPM and FFIS to scientifically determine the gaps in the hygiene training targeting the healthcare settings. The second project meeting session was dedicated for project management related topics including administrative tasks, dissemination and monitoring.
